Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health

Drug Treatment Court

Therapeutic court program for people whose legal matters are linked to substance use.

Drug Treatment Court addresses criminal behaviour driven by substance use disorders, recognizing addiction as a treatable health condition rather than solely a legal issue. Participants engage in court-mandated treatment, accountability measures, and close collaboration with justice partners.

LLGAMH delivers court-connected addiction and mental health expertise, assessment, treatment coordination, and ongoing support, working alongside the judiciary, legal counsel, probation, and community partners. This integrated approach reduces recidivism, substance-related harm, and incarceration while supporting evidence-based, trauma-informed care that is coordinated with mental health services for stronger long-term outcomes.
